Public Trustee Office

The Public Trustee manages estates of deceased people and also for those that have become incapable of handling their financial affairs.

When someone becomes incapable of handling their financial affairs, and there is no power of attorney, a Court Order for Trusteeship would be required (trusteeship of vulnerable and disabled persons).

The Public Trustee can also hold money in trusts for children under the age of 19.

The Office of the Children's Lawyer is located within the Public Trustee's office.
